More about Wicked Lit
Wicked Lit is the creation of Unbound Productions, a nonprofit theatre company whose mission is to reimagine timeless stories for new audiences by creating immersive, theatrical adaptations of literature.
Since 2009, Wicked Lit has been immersing audiences in theatrical adaptations of classic horror literature through walking tours. In this 2 hour and 45 minute show, audiences will walk a minimum of 2,000 steps and climb stairs to experience 3 short plays while being led through an eerie mausoleum and cemetery by captivating Storyguides.
Set against the backdrop of Camp Mountain view, a summer camp for the dead and undead complete with arts and crafts, apparition archery, and campfire stories, it’s 8th Annual Production took place at Mountain View Mausoleum and Cemetery and included 3 short plays:
H.P. Lovecraft’s From Beyond: A cerebral play examining the power of choice when a scientist’s discovery turns deadly.
Anansi & The Demons: The rise of demons in the wake of a fallen hierarchy.
Ellen Glasgow’s The Shadowy Third: An interesting play that involves the audience. Three characters are presented, but they are not what they seem. The audience is then challenged to determine their authenticity and trustworthiness.
