More on Just Fix It Productions
Just Fix It Productions was founded by a group of artists and creative directors looking to bring a new experience to LA. With the popularity of interactive experiences, they strive to touch upon all forms of fear and horror both with traditional scare tactics and emotional interactions. Guests will make their way through many dark corridors and rooms encountering many personal interactions, distractions and alarming situations. But remember, where they shine is that they have always thought that the person behind the mask was always scarier than the actual mask.
Previous shows:
CreepLA
With a heavy focus on the creepy and eerie, CreepLA’s first year led audiences between short vignettes designed to get under your skin. Pull up a seat and listen to these creeps recount their past, help two schoolgirls try to summon Bloody Mary in their bathroom mirror, and hide inside a box from a deranged killer and watch the horrors outside from the discomfort of a peephole.
Entry
In the 1970s, A controversial artist named Erebus Burwyck set out to explore the dark side of humanity and express it through his art. In the process, he unlocked something terrifying. In 1974, Erebus disappeared from public view, spawning a cult-like following in his absence… a following intent on spreading his legacy and sharing what he found in the dark. This experience invites guests to enter the mind of this tormented artist and get lost inside a world of twisted art and intimate terror, and uncover the darkness that CREEPs within us all. A highlight includes a bar atmosphere filled with creeps just waiting to tell you their stories.
Lore
In 2017, they partnered with Amazon to bring us Lore, an immersive theatrical adaptation of the six-part series from Amazon Studios of the same name, which is in turn based on the iTunes chart-topping podcast created and hosted by Aaron Mahnke. Lore incorporated elements from all six episodes of the Amazon series to bring guests face-to-face with the origins of everything from werewolves to vampires to fairies.
The Willows
CreepLA’s year-round immersive show offers participants the opportunity to step inside the family home of the Willows. The real house (a family lives there when the show isn’t running) sets the atmosphere for the site-specific performance and is as vital to the show as any of the family members encountered throughout the evening.
As for those family members, the less said, the better. There are plenty of secrets and things to find out about those in the house, but you’ll have to discover those on your own by talking to them. Those conversations are key to the highly immersive nature of the show that keep the audience engaged throughout the evening. As often as those interactions may be creepy (however, the show never veers into horror territory), they can also be funny, touching, and emotional, often bouncing effortlessly between them in the span of a few minutes.
The Willows provides Los Angeles with an immersive experience that serves as the perfect introduction for those new to immersive theater. For fans of immersive entertainment, the show is one that they’ll want to return to to discover everything they can about the family. And everyone should know, the Willows look forward to welcoming you home.
Awake
Creep: Awake explored what creeps in the darkness of your mind at night while you sleep. Everyone dreams. You have to. They say if you don’t dream, you die. Or is it – If you die in your dreams, you die in real life? Everyone’s had a bad dream they just can’t shake – or a dream that’s so real it feels liek you’re awake. What happens if your nightmares keep repeating, night after night? And what happens if you’re too afraid to close your eyes at night… afraid of what’s inside your mind?
