More on Santu Deliria
Eminently secretive in their approach to projects, Santu is characterized by aggressive physical conduct, nudity, and absurd sexualized situations. These experiences often come off cult-like, with a deeply seductive tone and highly evocative atmospheres. They focus on small, personalized experiences that are typically solo events–often utilizing Slack to bring together a strong and enthusiastic community that ensures quick sell-outs of events. With consistent content, Santu is an company that keeps immersive horror alive in Los Angeles.
Waivers are required; and the safe word for all of their events is AWAKE.
Inductio: Their first show, “Inductio”, premiered on June 2nd, 2017 at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre in North Hollywood. Tickets for the event appeared on ZJU’s ticket website in mid-May with no prelude, announcement, or context. Soon after, media outlets in the haunt/immersive community began to run press releases on the mysterious new show, and dates began selling out within weeks.
Reductio: Reductio was a remount of their initial run of Inductio. With minor changes, new characters, and expanded scenes, this experience was a hit, selling out as well. This experience came back in various forms at different times throughout Santu’s life cycle.
KVLT/KVNT: An ARG-styled, absurdist experience centered around multiple Slack communities. The experience offered some puzzles to solve, frequent audio/visual content, interactivity, private-invitation experiences, and a strong community that banded together to experience the Santu universe.
TRIMS: A multi-experience event that ran at The Count’s Den. These experience was absurd, evocative, and just plain fun. Plans to resume these experiences are underway.
Noctamulatio: Not an ARG, but an on-going, interactive Slack community open to everyone. Active participation is encouraged, and the experience may be sexual, violent, and disturbing.
