More about Gorlesque
For their first show, the creators present Paradise, a trip to the land of wonderment promised by Dr. Weltschmerz, the demented German doctor whose obsession with perfection led to him experimenting on the sexy little frauleins of his village.
Guests visit the headquarters of the cult founded in his honor, the Weltschmerz Society, and travel through a portal into his perfect world. But sometimes, perfection isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, as guests soon discover..
Participants were forced to become perfect through interactions with a twisted surgeon, a demented clothes designer, sexy burlesque dancers, and a perfect woman who has it out for men. Early rooms in this haunted house had high levels of interactivity and playfulness. Guests were constantly laughing as they acted out comical situations. But as patrons moved further into the haunt, the experience grew darker. And by the final room, things became more physical. We were forced to give lap dances to actors and guests alike. If we didn’t comply, we were banished from the haunt. It was wildly entertaining, but patrons needed to be open to playing along.
We have no word if this experience will return for the 2017 season, but we sure hope so. This was one of the undiscovered gems of the 2016 Halloween Season and we’d love to further explore the twisted mind of Dr. Weitschmerz. We will let you know when we find out more!
