ScareLA 2018 – A Video Walkthrough of the Haunted House Scare Floor
Below is a walk-thru of several haunts presented at ScareLA in 2018. Special thanks to Kevin Hsu for filming the panel, and to Jon Kobryn for editing it. ScareLA 2018 Haunted Houses.
In the unsettling darkness, a cobweb brushes your shoulder. Is that something crawling on your neck? The darkness abates just enough to highlight the skeletons of those who came before you lining the walls. Will you join them?… The military man barks a warning at you: “Avoid the infected at all cost.” You are thrown into a gated outpost of quarantined zombies, all wanting a taste of you. Which way do you turn? And what happens if you get infected?… Bloody sheets hanging from clotheslines, clowns looking to scare instead of entertain, strobe lights hiding sinister madmen, creepy girls wanting to play… It’s enough to make you scream in fear – or delight.
Convention-goers at ScareLA got the chance to experience varying degrees of fright in several mini-haunts, nice primers for the upcoming Halloween season. ScareLA provides a opportunity for companies like Rizo Scarehouse to feature a taste of their larger haunted houses, as well as a venue for original haunts specifically designed for the convention, like Descension. Braving the likes of a banshee haunting an ancient castle and masked figures wielding bloody weapons, Haunting takes a peek inside the haunts on the showroom floor and brings back a video from the depths of darkness so you can watch from where it’s safe…or is it?
Haunting stood up to the challenge and braved through multiple immersive, interactive, and all-the-way dark haunted houses!
