An Exclusive Interview with nocent – A New Religion for the Guilty
I sit in confessional. Instead of hard wood beneath me, there’s the comfort of a down cushion; instead of the patterned holes of a separator, there’s the soft glow of a laptop screen. Yet, the silhouetted visage on the other side is the same: an ear to listen, without judgement, without worry. “Why are you nocent?” he asks. I provide the fabricated answer that I have used in the past to similar questions – but it’s not traditional sin or a superficial answer the visage wants. He wants realness, raw truth, what keeps me up at night. So, I go to bed that night and, as I turn off the light and darkness tucks me into bed, the guilt of my past snuggles up next to me, keeping me from slumber; and now I know what it is I have to share. nocent interview
nocent appeared on Instagram in November, 2019. As people soon followed, they uncovered a website with a choice: accept your guilt or stay innocent. That choice provides two separate paths to follow, and if you judge yourself as one of the nocent, then you are faced with confession, and an actual person to listen. We reached out to that person for more information on what this may be. While they took an unconventional approach to the interview, I am posting below exactly what I received back. Read on to determine if you are nocent, too.
