To Live and Dine in LA - Dinner Theater - Drunken Devil - Serial Killers - Los Angeles True Crime History

Dine With The Dead & Deranged at Drunken Devil’s Next Experience

Drunken Devil, an entertainment company with an emphasis in horror-infused nightlife events, is delving into a different type of territory with a brand-new, theatrical dining experience: To Live and Dine in LA. This special event will be part of Think Tank Gallery’s latest art show, Drinkin’, Smokin’, and West Coastin’ – billed as a “group love/hate letter to the city,” with a creative take by local event producers each night.

To Live and Dine in LA is an intimate, 45-person supper club, where guests will sit down for dinner with the ghosts of the most infamous figures in Los Angeles’ true crime history, as they navigate the city’s sordid past through cuisine, cocktails, and cabaret-type performances.

“While we’ve had such great success with our past parties, Bloody Gras and Curse of the Jungle Drums, I want to return to my roots by providing something much smaller and much more sinister than anything we’ve produced as a company,” says Matt Dorado, the Creator and Executive Producer of Drunken Devil. “I’ve been craving the opportunity to produce a dining experience, and I think this will be a phenomenal first entry for the company.”

In To Live and Dine in LA, guests will sit down for dinner with the dead, as they come face-to-face with Elizabeth Short, better known as the Black Dahlia; Harvey Glatman, infamously nicknamed the “Glamour Girl Slayer” for his harrowing methods of killing aspiring young models in the late 1950’s; Susan Atkins, one of the most prominent members of the Manson Family (although Charles will not appear, his ominous presence will be noticeable throughout the event); and Richard Ramirez, also known as the “Night Stalker,” who terrorized suburban Los Angeles for years.

The menu will be created by Felix Barron, executive chef of KTCHNLA. Each course will be based off of a different figure and different era, with thematically appropriate cocktails paired to each dish. “For example, as you sip cocktails and enjoy hors d’oeuvres inspired by the Black Dahlia and frenzy of the city circa 1947, you’ll be mingling with Elizabeth Short and a host of characters from that time period. Then, you’ll sit down for the first course and find yourself in 1958, as Harvey Glatman’s story unfolds before you,” says Dorado. “The food interweaves with the theatrical and interactive elements, creating an entirely unique narrative.”

In between courses, guests will experience dark burlesque, performance art and more that will help guide the the story. “Theatrical, cabaret-type performances are integral to the Drunken Devil experience, and we have a number of eye-popping acts that we’re excited to bring to the event,” Dorado says.
